Crochet Puff Flower Stitch Scarf

April 15, 2013 By: DearestDebi5 Comments

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugar‘n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.

Crochet Puff Flower Stitch Scarf

This Crochet Puff Flower Stitch Scarf I’m sure is something that a few people have been waiting on as I’ve been getting requests for it. I was not posting it because I wanted to make sure that others could follow the original directions that I posted with my crochet puff flower stitch headband.

Now that people have been using this stitch and I have a video tutorial to help I’ve put together the written instructions for this scarf as well as included a colour coded chart.

This Crochet Puff Flower Stitch Scarf is listed as a proficient pattern because it can be quite difficult to work up these flowers and get them to look right. You need to be consistent with your gauge when making the puffs which can be a little challenging.

ch up2– Chain Up, when you are at the end of your row, turn work, insert hook into first st, draw up a loop you now have 2 loops on your hook, yarn over, draw up a loop through both loops on hook, insert hook into stitch just made, yarn over and draw up a loop. If you need a video tutorial there is one HERE.

Below is a video showing how to do one column of flowers.

Gauge: 1 flower = 1.5″  The flowers are worked in multiples of 6 + 4.

Notes: When drawing up loops they all should be 1/2″.

For this Crochet Puff Flower Stitch Scarf it takes 3 rows to make a complete flower, I’ve divided them into part A, B & C.
