I am finally able to work the infinity part. When worn does the infinity scarf wrap around the neck or does it just lay long in front? The first picture shows wrapped around the neck, but I’m not sure how that is done (I prefer the neck warmer).

It can be worn out to the front or wrapped around the neck, it would be wrapped twice or if you’d prefer there is a cowl version Here.

Can you tell me if the first photo on this page is cowl or wrapped infinity?

This pattern is for an infinity scarf, both pictures shown on the mannequin are the infinity scarf. The top picture shows it wrapped around twice.

The cowl pattern does not wrap around the neck, only does up with buttons. All the pictures for the cowl are on the cowl pattern that I linked in my previous comment.

Any advice on how to Crochet with this yarn? I have tons of this yarn because I love the feel and the colors. So I had to have 10 skeins of every color I liked and I have frogged everything I have tried. Thanks

Homespun can be difficult to use, if you really want to make the pattern you could use 2 strand of worsted weight together instead, otherwise to use this yarn sometimes you need to feel your stitches with your fingers, if you gently run your fingers across your work, you will feel a bump each time you move into a new stitch.

Hi! I’m the one that made the example shown in the pics on the mannequin…. I found that the secret to working with this yarn was a Susan Bates size L hook! I usually use BOYE hooks, but they don’t work for me with that yarn. You do have to “feel” the stitches a bit with this yarn, but it’s not bad once you get used to it. I’ve made 3 hoods and a baby cocoon with this yarn. It’s so cushy! πŸ™‚

    Hello,

Can I make this pattern with a normal bulky weight yarn instead of homespun? Any thing I need to know when substituting the yarn?

You could use a worsted weight yarn but you would want to use 2 strands at once.

Thank you… I’ve started making it with homespun yarn but when I got to Row 25 I am very confused. Not sure what the 6 ch means? do i chain 6 ? I have no idea.

    Hi,

I am sorry to bother with this but I am confused with row 25. I have looked at the comments, the picture and the instructions but I’m still confused. I get that row 25 is worked on the bottom edge but I’m confused with the “sc in 2nd ch from hook, and next 6ch, then sc in corner st” That creates a sort of opening which doesn’t seem right. Then I thought maybe I was supposed to chain a few but that’s not in the directions. Can you please clarify? Thank you

There was a missing Ch 8 at the beg of row 25. I’ve updated the pattern.
