Homespun Crochet Hood
This Crochet Hood was originally intended to be some sort of scoodie or hooded cowl, but as I got working on it I liked how it was working out and decided to use it for my very first Mystery Crochet-A-Long. I figured in order to make a Mystery CAL that it would be best to stick to one ball of yarn so I didn’t end up adding a cowl or scarf to it.
UPDATE: I finally made add ons for this hood. There’s a Cowl & Infinity Scarf.
I am so happy with how the mystery CAL turned out, even with a few errors, we all had great fun, and the mystery really had people guessing. Also I found that a lot of people struggled using the homespun yarn, so these are things that I will take into consideration when making another mystery CAL.
It took 3 days for someone to figure out what it was.. Thank you to everyone who joined in the fun!

On row 12 the repeat ends with a skipped stitch, but when I complete the 19 repeats I have 2 sts remaining before the marker … Your diagram shows there should only be 1.
I have started over 3 times and still comes out the same. What am I going wrong?
DearestDebi says
It’s hard to say without seeing the piece.. Did you finish round 11 with 64 hdc? the diagram shows the stitch placement when round 11 is completed with 64 sts.
Linda says
Yes, 64 sts. I just treated the last 2 as 1, seems to be working out.
