Yarn: Bernat Satin Yarn (2 Balls of MC & 1 ball of alternate colour). 1 ball of Red Heart Boutique-sashay Yarn
- Master Colour (MC) – White
- Alternate Colour – Black
Hook: US H8/5.00mm (Add Sashay with a US K10.5/6.50mm)
Size: 4 Years (23 inch chest)
Special Stitches:
- fphdc – front post half double crochet
- long hdc – work a hdc in the prev row
- yo – yarn over
Gauge: 9 hdc = 2 inches
Notes:
- I carried up the yarn between colour changes so I didn’t have to cut the yarn and weave in a bunch of ends. Just make sure when carrying up the yarn that you don’t pull it too tight making the work pucker.
- When working hdc in the sc worked in the ch1 sp of the heart I insert my hook through the stitch as shown below and through to the back of your work then completing the hdc. This will help to keep your stitch together (as shown below).

Is there a way to make it for other sizes? I have two little girls that would look adorable in this, but they are in 2T, and I don’t want to ruin the pattern by trying to shrink it myself.
I think it’s doable. I can work something up if you’re willing to test it.
I would definitely be willing to test it!
Is there a way of making this bigger? My daughter is in a size 8 and she loves this design. Please let me know. Thanks
I’m working on multiple sizing.
HI,
i would also be willing to test. need to make one in 12-18 months 🙂
kind regards
Ronell
Sorry I don’t have anything to test at this time.
did you ever come up with bigger sizes
Nope, never tried.
Is there any way to make this for a 15 yr old I would test the pattern If u could
I don’t have anything at the moment. I believe the sweet hearts are worked in multiples of 7, so the dress would be too.
I wanted to say thank you for your response. I was able to download and did find it:)
You’re welcome 🙂 ~Happy Hooking~
