Crochet Flower Garden Hexagon
The crochet flower garden hexagon was a last minute idea. I wanted to make something like my rose bud flower hexagon but I wanted it to be flat and solid.
I started with my original flower bud hexagon pattern trying to work it flat, I worked up a hexagon with peaks over the flowers then decided to try it with the peaks between the flowers but both pieces were not solid so wrote out what I did and asked my Facebook fans which one they preferred. It was almost unanimous that most people liked the peaks between the flowers so I got to work right away on a solid hexagon and stuck to adding the peaks in between the flowers.
I’ve used Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice for my original hexagons, and then I worked up 2 for pictures using Red Heart Super Saver both using an I9/5.50mm hook. I’ve written out all 3 hexagon patterns and they have been included in the pattern available for download. Make your favourite, I’d love to see what you hook up.
