Tunisian Crochet Roses
Tunisian Crochet Roses was something I learned from งานถัก อัฟกัน. She contacted me and told me that her name is Ped in Thai. In english, duck. Tunisian crochet is her hobby and she sold her Tunisian Crochet Berry design in Thailand. She is glad we are all interested in her work.
I was browsing through Ducks work and noticed these beautiful Tunisian Crochet Roses that reminded a lot of my crochet rose bud chart. I asked Duck about it and she told me that she used my Crochet Flower Bud Chart by translating it to Tunisian crochet.
What a small world. Two strangers meet who have both inspired the other. It was harder for me to figure out the Tunisian crochet roses than it was the berries! Here’s my version of the roses..

The Tunisian patterns are written more like a regular crochet pattern. They use the basics of tunisian crochet, the afghan stitch and stitch notes. I’ve made it as easy as possible for competent crocheters to work up.
Hooks: You will need Tunisian craft or afghan hooks for these projects. Craft Hooks hold up to 100 stitches and an afghan hook will hold 100+ stitches. Need Tunisian hooks? Search Amazon.com or Amazon.ca
Yarn:
I love to use Red Heart Shimmer Yarn (Discontinued) or Caron Simply Soft Yarn for the roses but really any worsted weight yarn should work as long as you gauge.

I love this pattern if I want to make a scarf do I just chain what you’ve shown in the video? Do I just repeat the steps over and over till I get the scarf the length I like it to be? I don’t understand written patterns my downfall is I’m a visual learner. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
