Today I organized my yarn stash!

September 9, 2012 By: DearestDebicomment

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugar‘n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.
Hello My Name Is Debi & I'm a Yarnaholic!
*************************************************************
Today’s Mission.. To clean up my yarn stash. I have these two big rubbermaid buckets that I wanted to try to fit into one bucket or in my cabinet.
My Yarn Stash Before Getting Organized
I love clear zippered bags and ziplock bags, keep things sealed while still being able to see what’s in the bag and keeping it protected from little sticky fingers in my house..
*************************************************************
Half half way through the caos..
My yarn stash.. The Organizing Caos
*************************************************************
In the bottom of the cabinet I have 6 buckets. BElow starting clock wise in the upper left corner are;
1. Eyelash and fun fur.
2. Lion Brand Homespun, Soy yarn & Baby Merino
3. MoHair, or as we call it in this house.. Hair from the Mo. lol
4. Phentex Craft and Slipper Yarn, made out of Olefin, it makes a great slipper soles because  Olefin’s advantages are its strength, colourfastness and comfort; its resistance to staining, mildew, abrasion and sunlight.
5. Sparkle Yarn
6. Random donated Stuff..
My Large Selection of Unique Yarns
*************************************************************
I managed to only need one large green bucket.
There were 4 large bags I organized by weight..
1. #6 Bulky
2. #4 worsted weight (afghan yarn mostly red heart supersaver)
3. A mixed bag of #1 super fine, #2 fine and #3 Light
4. One big ball of size 10 white cotton crochet thread
Organized Yarn!
There is a medium bag of Bernat Baby Coordinates, one large bag of bouclé and one of a ziplock of some red heart kids & red heart TLC Baby.
*************************************************************
My green ikea bucket has my doll stuffing, tulle and scraps, You never know what you might need scraps for!?!?
A bucket of Scraps, Stuffing and Tulle
*************************************************************
Above the green ikea bucket is bags with finished pieces, I’m building a collection so I can do a craft.
On top of the large rubbermaid bucket I have a large bag of Cotton and the other bag is all different colours of Red Heart Soft  and Red Heart Soft Touch.
At last it is ORGANIZED..
Today I organized my yarn stash!
I’m sure there is still more stashed and missing somewhere but for now…back to hooking..
~Happy Hooking~
