Scrubbable..

September 12, 2012 By: DearestDebi4 Comments

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugar‘n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.

Scrubbable..

I make these scrubbables for my family as a christmas gift, I think a gift is more valuable when it’s hand made. They can be used to wash fruit, as a body scrub in the shower, or whatever else you can think of..

Wash  & Dry with a laundry load of towels.

Hook:

US K10/6.50mm

Yarn:

I use Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Yarn 340g/400g or Bernat Cotton Tots (No longer available)

Supplies:

1″ wide tulle strips

Wrap the tulle around the yarn so you’re working with two strands.

**NOTE: Below is an image of Rnd 3, when starting a row I ch 2 then dc in the same ch, then at the end of the rnd I will add 2 dc under that same beg st. I do this for each rnd so that I do not get a gap in my work.**

Try getting a softer tulle and they should be fine, I use them at home but we don’t have anything teflon.

No there are different types of tulle, some is stronger/heavier then others which would be more abrasive then a softer/lighter tulle.
