A pumpkin hat…

A pumpkin hat.. It’s almost that time again! Halloween, every little boy and girl needs a pumpkin beanie! The pattern for this hat is also available in newborn, toddler & child sizing.

Use any colour of yarn to make a hat, add a brim or turn it into a cloche. A cute and easy crochet beanie pattern.

DIFFICULTY RATING

Crochet Pattern Difficulty Rating - Advanced Beginner

Size:

  • 1-3 years
  • Pattern available in newborn size, follow the directions of the Newborn Beanie Gem pattern.
  • Pattern available in child size, follow the directions of the Watermelon Beanie pattern.

Special Stitches..

  • FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet, if you need help watch this video –> FPDC

Hooks:

  • H8/5.00MM
  • J10/6.00MM
  • K10.5/6.50MM

Yarn: #4 medium worsted weight. I used Red Heart Comfort. This yarn is kind of scratchy so I recommend using Caron Simply Soft.

Gauge: (Using J10/6.00MM hook) 6 dc and 3 rows = 2″ square

Hat Topper..

    Great pattern, I can’t wait to make it! The print on the PDF is extremely tiny though

      When printing a PDF you have the option to set the size so that it can be increased.
