Lip Balm Crochet Cactus
I got the idea for this Lip Balm Crochet Cactus after I made my Easter Egg. It was so much fun making something quick and small I thought I’d try it again. I got the idea for another easter egg but I thought it would be a good idea to save that for Easter 2016!
I looked around with no idea what to make and as I’m staring at my aloe plant I think I should make a cactus, but not just any cactus! It had to have a purpose so as I continued to look around I saw my teenagers Lip Balm EOS container. I originally had the idea to make the Lip Balm Crochet Cactus in 2 pieces but as I got started I had an even better idea! I made it all in one piece and it fits perfectly snug around the EOS lip balm and looks just like a cactus sitting in a dish on your desk or counter!
You’ll need 2 small one inch elastics for this project and a little bit of fun fur in either a light beige or green, the fun fur is optional but really adds a finishing touch to the cactus making it look prickly! My youngest has stuck her lip balm in the cactus and ran off with it.

I received the link to this pattern yesterday and I was wondering if Hair ties could be used instead of elastic. I think they are adorable.

You would want the smaller ones, that are about the same size as I used. the toddler ones at the dollar store would work well.
