Dragonfly Garden Bag
My Dragonfly Garden Bag uses my new window flower stitch that I recently published. I had the idea just to make a simple HDC remote bag but as usual I got carried away and created my window flower stitch but I still wanted to make a remote bag so I got started right away keeping in mind to try to keep it as simple as possible.
I tried to keep things simple but what is easy for me is not always easy for everyone else. If you need help with the window flower stitch, there is a video tutorial on YouTube HERE. other than that, this pattern uses basic simple stitches, mostly HDC and there are two TR stitches, which is a triple crochet.
I wrote this pattern with instructions to make it the same as my remote bag OR as a purse with an over the shoulder strap. Hook: US J10/6.00mm
Yarn: Red Heart Shimmer (discontinued) Can be replaced with Bernat Satin Sparkle.
Size: One size, 10″ x 8 ”
Supplies:
- Two – 10 or 15mm buttons for remote bag.
- *Optional* Fabric approximately 10 inches wide by 16 inches tall (before sewing the sides of your piece make sure to measure so you have the right size, size may vary depending on gauge) Need help lining your bag? Check out this tutorial.. http://dearestdebi.com/crochet-bag-liner
- *Optional* 10 inch zipper for purse.
Special Stitches:
- v-st – (hdc, ch 1, hdc) in same st
- shell – 4 hdc in same st
Gauge: 3 hdc x 3 rows = 1 inch square
Notes: Fasten off yarn after colour changes.
