Dishcloths – Free Crochet Pattern

June 23, 2012 By: DearestDebi16 Comments

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugar‘n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.

Dishcloths – Free Crochet Pattern

I always have lots of cotton and I like to work up dishcloths when I’m on the bus. Did these the other day. This is one of my favorites, quick and easy to work up. (:

Dishcloths are a great way to start learning crochet because it give an opportunity to learn basic stitches. This dishcloth is worked with single and half double crochet stitches which make it a great beginner pattern.

If you are new to crochet and need some help getting started please check out my crochet resources page that has links to photo and video tutorials to help you get started. My resource page is available HERE.

You can never have too many dishcloths, they are great to have and give as gifts.

    Debi Dearest,

I think you will be my saving grace. I have committed to myself to crochet 26 to 39 wash clothes for my daughters Wedding Brunch to go along with the favor bags I have put together. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. I think this pattern is exactly what I needed.

Thank you for your generosity in sharing.

I love working with cotton thread and made a similar dish rag and a bath floor mat last week from a large spool. You just can’t go wrong with cotton thread!

Cotton was one of the first yarns I started with crochet, I just love it for dish cloths and towels, just wish it would hold better form for hats.

This was my very first crochet project, and it turned out great! I’ve been knitting for a year, but just learned to crochet on Saturday. Thanks to your clear pattern and video tutorials, I have kept my New Year’s Resolution (to try new things)!
