Crochet Cupcake Purse with Cherries on Top
I have brown yarn.. I’m not really a fan of the colour brown.. Well unless it is a hair colour. But not for a yarn. I got it to make a beard but have yet to venture into beard making. So what do I do with this brown yarn? I will make a Crochet Cupcake Purse with Cherries on Top.
This Crochet Cupcake Purse with Cherries on Top took me FOREVER to make.. haha I’ve been at this thing for 2 months, I first made the base then had NO idea how I wanted to do the icing and the base sat around until I got an idea for the icing. I worked up the icing but then came the horror of sewing pieces together. I seriously need to be in the mood for small pieces and sewing!
Yesterday I finally decided to put together my Crochet Cupcake Purse with Cherries on Top after I finished a simple crochet flower and another tape measure elastic because some little fingers got ahold of the one I made. I’m sure those little fingers will be all over this purse first thing in the morning so it’s hidden until I can take some pictures.
And for the boys there’s a Crochet Oscar the Grouch Inspired Trash Can available HERE.

Hi Debi Love the cupcake purse pattern and getting ready to try it. Just one ?? what did you use on the frosting part to look-like sprinkles. What suggestions do you have to simulate the sprinles and best way to attach. I thought of using bugle beads, but it might be too costly.
Carol
The little sprinkle things I used I believe were earrings from a dollar store, they were just for decoration when I took the picture, I took them out, if I had left them in I’d probably bend in the ends on the back side of them.
You could buy some beads that would fit over the yarn, add as many as you want to use onto your yarn before starting. then move them into place where you want them.
Hi Debi, I have tried to download your pattern but for some reason I never get it in my email… Could you try sending it to me directly? I would really appreciate it a lot.. Thanks.
