3D Flower Lattice Sun Hat
3D Flower Lattice Sun Hat is the 11th pattern from my 3D flower collection. I started the 3D flower collection in February 2013. A 3D flower turned into a collection of flower beanies and bonnets. Check out the collection HERE.
After many failed attempts and frogging my work I finally figured out a way to make the flower lattice work as the brim for the sun hat. The pattern uses Ice Yarns – Magic Baby which is a #2 yarn with a US G6/4.25mm hook. I have used the bernat baby yarns such as Bernat Baby Coordinates Yarn, Bernat Baby Jacquards Yarn, and Bernat Softee Baby Yarn with similar results.
This pattern has not yet been tested.

Yarn: #2 Yarn pictured is Ice Yarns – Magic Baby 1/2 a ball (Magic baby yarn is similar to Bernat Softee Baby Yarn)
Hook: US G6/4.25mm & US G6/4.00mm
Size: Toddler (1-3 years)
Special Stitches:
- v-st – (dc, ch 3, dc) in same space.
Gauge: 2 v-sts = 2″
Notes:
Each new flower starts with a ch 11 and will have 2 petals that are worked left to right and 2 petals worked right to left. 4 petals in total. To make it easier to reference each petal I’ve numbered them and these numbers will be used within the pattern. The star on the 3rd petal marks the left joining corner.
