Crochet Window Flower Stitch

Crochet Window Flower Stitch

Crochet Window Flower Stitch – An adorable flower stitch that can be used to make afghans, scarves, boarders, and more. What will you make?

Crochet Window Flower Stitch - Dearest Debi Patterns

Recently I got a newspaper table from my mom. I set it up next to my new couch and got the to store my yarn in it. Check it out HERE to see it in use! I have been wanting to make a remote holder I can hang from my table so I started playing around with a design. That’s when I came up with this Crochet Window Flower Stitch.

I wasn’t really sure which side was the right side or the wrong side because I like the unique look of both of them, but for my remote holder I will need to pick a right side to stick with. The one side, the flowers pop out, the other side looks like flowers in ached columns. That’s where the idea came to name this stitch pattern.

The written pattern is for the Crochet Window Flower Stitch and includes details that you can work this stitch as a flower field afghan, or could be worked in the round for a basket or it could even be added to an afghan as a border. So many ideas! I can’t wait to see what you come up with! I’m going to continue working on my remote control holder bag, that’s another pattern for another day. 😉

DearestDebi….Love your patterns but after hitting the pink arrow, it doesn’t go down far enough. This is the last thing I see. The pattern can be downloaded by clicking the blue download button below or can be purchased on Ravelry. I also removed the taskbar but it still didn’t go down so I could download pattern. I love all the beautiful work you do. If you could help me, I would love it. Mary Heird

There’s a pop up when you click on the pink arrow. If you’re on mobile you might need to zoom out. If you click outside the window anywhere it will close it.

First box is for email, middle box is for first name, last box is for last name. Please make sure when you enter email there’s no spaces as this can cause an invalid email, if it says invalid email, try reloading the page before trying to download again.

I just tried using your email, without any spaces it worked fine to download.

How can I flip the window stitch to have it for the last row on a hat – continuous rounds?
As it is now, it comes out upside down.

It doesn’t work from top down, there is no way to flip it.

Thank you for the fast response. I love this pattern so I think I will continue to try to figure out a way to use it. Maybe I will try to make a strip that I can tack onto my hat.

Just love this pattern and the video is great. I have a question about ending row 6? You start with sc in beg sc, dc in sk sc from row 4 but you end without doing the dc in sk sc of row 4 and just sc in ending sc. Should there be a dc in that last sk sc of row 4?

I don’t think so because you’ll end up with an extra stitch.

If you want the dc at the end you would have to include an extra stitch.

Look for the pink download arrow and click on it, there’s the option to download (blue button) or the option to buy on ravelry. If you don’t see the pink download arrow please give it a minute to load, it’s closer to the bottom of the page before the comment section.

I’m not entirely sure because I’ve never tried. Maybe try working 2 flowers of the stitch pattern into the corner, maybe 3?

your video says to half double crochet twice in the chain 3 space in row 8 but the written pattern calls to single crochet which one is right

Either option works. I’ve used both, sc I think would help to keep the flower showing more than the hdc. 🙂
