Fuzzy Rainbow Crochet Bonnet

Fuzzy Rainbow Crochet Bonnet

The weekend rolls around I get bonnet fever. One thing I love to make more than anything is bonnets. I started my Fuzzy Rainbow Crochet Bonnet with the intention of making a spring breeze bonnet. Something that would be light and airy for spring or summer but then just as I was done I got the idea to add some fun fur.

I had a mystery ball of fun fur, it’s white and sparkly and I’ve been sitting on it for a few years with no idea what to use it for. The ball was just under 50g and as I got adding it to the shell I was really worried I would run out so I started to crochet faster. Would you believe it worked and I was left with only 2 inches to spare!!

You can make the shell of this bonnet and use it as is or you can add fun fur for an extra fuzzy warm bonnet. Please not that babies should not be left unattended in bonnets and they are not recommended when donating to the hospital unless you make them without ties or a strap but even still some hospitals will not take bonnets so please keep this in mind when donating. Best thing to do is to check with where you are donating first.

Yes this pattern uses fun fur but please don’t let that scare you away! Fun fur and eyelash yarns are my arch nemesis but I promise you that adding fun fur to this bonnet will be easy and simple!

I may have bonnet fever but I do not have baby fever so I decided that my sons storm trooper clock would make a lovely model instead of my usual wine glass.
