Crochet 3D Easy Bonnet – Newborn

June 10, 2013 By: DearestDebi17 Comments

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugarโ€˜n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.

Crochet 3D Easy Bonnet – Newborn

Crochet 3D Easy Bonnet is part of myย crochet 3D collection of flower Beanies and Bonnets.

When I started the 3D bonnets I was making them with the puff flower stitch. The puff flower stitch is ย a pretty difficult picot stitch. Not everyone has been able to work up the puff flowers. I didn’t want people to not be able to finish their bonnets so I made a simple version of the bonnet.

Not sure about one for the full pattern. There is a video on how to work up the beginning flower and how to add the braided ties.

I am making this adorable bonnet. The pattern does not have instructions for rows 22 and 23. Also, in row 13 I found that “working v-st in the next 13 (rather than 14) ch 3 sps” gave the correct amount of stitches for rows 14-19 (15 v-sts). I hope that instructions for rows 22 and 23 are available so that I can complete this project. Thank you!

Yes, row 13 should be 13 repeats. There are no missing rows, I just skipped count by mistake. Thank you for letting me know, both errors have been edited.

Currently there is only a video for the beginning flower. My goal for 2014 is to work on more videos of my patterns.

    Hi, Dearest Debi~

I purchased the 3D Flower Bonnet on Ravelry and there are Part 1 and Part 2 downloads; but they are exactly the same. Both are for Toddler 1-3 years. Was the second part supposed to be the Newborn 0-3 mos. size? It’s a really cute pattern.

Just so you know, the pictures on your downloads are blurry and don’t show much detail. A better picture would be helpful when following the pattern to make this cute bonnet, since I don’t always have internet access to watch your videos as we go up to our “out of the way” property which does not have internet access or cell phone reception.

The other 2 patterns I purchased have the same issue– the Autumn Sky Sunset Cloche and the Aurora Star Cowl. I am really looking forward wo making the cowl!

The 3D flower bonnet you purchased is only for 1-3 sizing. I’m not sure what you mean but part 1 and part 2, I sent myself all 3 patterns you mentioned and there’s no parts? I usually only include a small image, if you would like you’re welcome to snag any of the pictures on the ravelry listing to print.

I am sorry, I didn’t understand what you meant by there were 2 parts. Someone else brought this to my attention. File 1 should be the update, File 2 is the original pattern before edits. Ravelry will always store copies even if I delete them all. http://bit.ly/2sYvnO9
