Wearable Art Huggable Friends Inkies
Wearable Art Huggable Friends Inkies! What you say?
When I started on my crochet Journey I met Laura in a crochet group and we became friends on Facebook. Laura runs her own little crochet business called Wearable Art Huggable Friends. When we first met I remember her making her first Inkie. It reminded me of an Octopus! Since then she’s developed an entire animal line of Inkies. It’s been awesome to watch her create so many different animals over the years.
She recently contacted me to ask if I would like to test out one of her inky patterns and write a review, I was glad to accept!
I was sent to her ArtFire shop to pick out 2 Inkies I could pick apart and compare to my own test. It was so hard to choose, I really love them all!! I picked out a Tembo Elephant and her newest Skylar Snail.
Next I went over to her Craftsy Pattern shop to pick out which Inkie I wanted to make. Again it was really hard to choose just one! I decided on a Inkie Kitty.
Before I even made my own Inkie I had an idea for adding my own personal touch. I came up with the idea to add a row of flowers, my original idea was to work them around the head, but at the last minute came up with the idea to work them on the body. I love it, they hide behind the little squiggles. lol It’s the perfect spring Inkie!
You can buy ANY of the Inkie patterns and add my edits to your own inkie. These things are so fun to make!!
Wearable Art Huggable Friends Inkies Debi’s Review..
I followed all the directions that Laura had for my Inkie Pink Kitty. The directions are really easy to follow and everything you need to know is included. These are great beginner patterns for those interested in making amigurumi.
There is no gauge because when making amigurumi it is kind of elusive. I didn’t bother to pay attention to it when I started my Pink Kitty and noticed that my work standing next to Laura’s they are smaller. Apparently I like to crochet pretty tight when it comes to amigurumi.
All the patterns for Wearable Art Huggable Friends Inkies can be found in her Craftsy shop https://www.craftsy.com/profile/wearable-art-huggable-friends
If you are looking to buy an Inkie they can be found in her ArtFire shop. https://www.artfire.com/ext/shop/home/WearableArtHuggableFriends When I got my Inkies they came with some paper work. There’s Isabelle’s Inkies story and I believe some adoption papers I think my kids have run off with. I’m surprised they didn’t run off with the 2 Inkies Laura sent when they arrived! My cat was almost stolen before it was finished, but I managed to keep them all under my wing until I was finished talking pictures of all of them together. hehe. The kids love them all!!
