Soft Snuggly Slippers
I’ve been wanting to make myself a pair of slippers for some time now. I made the soles for these months ago but wasn’t sure how I wanted to work the body of them. I originally started out with a cotton body but gave up on it because it wasn’t soft nor warm enough.

Yarn:
For the outside sole I use Phentex Slipper & Craft Yarn (1 – 3oz ball). I use this specific yarn because it’s made of Olefin which is known for it’s strength, and it’s resistance to staining and mildew.
For the inside sole I used two strand of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton Yarn 340g/400g (2 – 1.75oz balls)). **If I ever make these again I would use one strand of Bernat handicrafter cotton and one strand of Bernat Pipsqueak as I found the cotton wasn’t all that soft on the feet. If you choose to use cotton with the pipsqueak you will need 1 – 1.75oz ball of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton and a 3.5oz ball of Bernat Pipsqueak Yarn**

very pretty!
are they slippery to wear?
DearestDebi says
I sewed in some 1/4″ elastic thread just above the ankle, just enough to keep them snug but without cutting circulation. I don’t find them slippery, would rather them have 1 strand of cotton and 1 strand of pipsqueak for the inside sole then just cotton.
