Crochet Flower Lattice
This crochet flower lattice is a piece that I’ve been looking at for some time. I found a video on youtube but it was missing turns and how to finish off.
I started to work up a pattern, which is still in the works and will be available soon but in the mean time I wanted to work up a video tutorial.Β I was going to save this video for when I release the new pattern I’m working on but thought, why wait? I have a hard time holding things back because I love to share my work!
This crochet flower lattice video tutorial will teach you how to work a scarf that is 3 flowers wide, or you could always add more flowers if you so choose.
When working with the crochet flower lattice stitch please be aware that there are 4 different turns. At first when I started working with this stitch I was not aware of the 4 turns and it was causing my work to increase on each side and before I knew it I had some work to rip out. Make sure when you are turning after each row that you check to see that your work is not increasing or decreasing, if it is you’ve worked the wrong turn.
Another thing to note when working with this crochet flower lattice stitch is that you will need to finish off with an even amount of flowers. It is possible to finish with an uneven number of flowers but I do not explain how to finish off the edging when working with an uneven number of flowers.
I hope you enjoy this crochet flower lattice video tutorial.

Yarn:Β This stitch works up lovely with Ice yarns baby yarns, the long colourways work out so pretty. You could also useΒ Luv Baby or any other #1 super fine yarn, or I would recommend Super Baby or Magic Baby from my yarn shop.
Hook: US G6/4.00mm
Gauge:Β 1 complete flower = 1.5″ square
Size: This scarf is worked 3 flowers wide.
Special Stitches:
- When working with the flower lattice you will NOT be turning your work. One row will be worked from left to right, the next row will be worked right to left without turning. You will be looking at the right side of your work throughout the entire piece.
- Each flower has 4 petals, to make it easier to reference Iβve numbered them and these numbers will be used within the pattern, the star on the 3rd petal marks the left joining corner.
- sl st in last dc of next flower is pictured below.

Debi, this is a lovely stitch pattern. I’ve heard of lattice stitch but haven’t heard of the flower lattice. This would make a lovely shawl or scarf pattern. I’m thinking if you use Noro or a self-striping yarn it would look just gorgeous.
DearestDebi says
It would make a lovely shawl too.. I have a few pattern ideas to work up with it but I can’t say what yet. π

What is multiple?
DearestDebi says
There is no multiple for this pattern.
Norma Williams says
What would the multiple be for a scarf? What would you recommend the beginning chains to be? Simply love this pattern!
DearestDebi says
There is no starting chain to count multiples. You just continue adding flowers the wider you’d like your scarf.

Thanks I’m going to try this later today. .
Is self string yarn the same as vargated?
DearestDebi says
You mean self stripping yarn? It is a type of variegated yarn just usually has a longer stretch of colour.

I’d love to share some your patterns and work a number of your offerings. Unfortunately I am not a PC user. For well over 30 years I have found sites willing to allow downloads for those of use who use Mac–for instance those of us in design work. The hoops your site demands for downloading a pattern are considerably expensive. I’d prefer, on my senior’s stipend, to pay for an individual pattern rather than shell out for unneeded software. Thought you might like to know how disappointing it is not to be able to access your wonderful patterns, even if they are free.

I am a mac user and everything on my site is tested on my mac. If you’re looking to download free patterns I put together a tutorial. There’s nothing to download and install and no costs.

Hi Deb,
Just a heads upπ
I just downloaded this flower lattice pattern and found a discrepancy from the video. In row 3 in the video you say to go into the corner of the second petal of the previous flower, but in the written pattern you say to go into the corner of the third petal of the previous flower.
I realized the video was right, but you might want to change it in the written pattern for those who don’t watch the video.
Thanks for the pattern I’ll be making a few table runners using it!βΊοΈβΊοΈ
