Crochet Butterfly Flutterby Headband
Last week for international crochet day I posted my Mandala for Marinke and have been staring at the butterflies since thinking what should I make with them next? The possibilities are endless! Last night I decided to try a quick headband using the butterflies. I had to rework the butterflies to work without increasing.
This Crochet Butterfly Flutterby Headband would be a great way to use up some of the scraps of yarn you have around. I used all #4 worsted weight yarns like Caron Simply Soft, Red Heart Shimmer and Ice Yarns Happy Baby with a US H8/5.00mm hook.
I worked up this pattern last night, wrote it out and published it as is, it has not been tested. Please let me know if you find any errors. ~Happy Hooking~

I just saw this on my Pinterest feed. I love it! Can’t want to give it a go next week when I spend one day just making hair thingys
hi Debi, was wondering if you had a chance to look at the pattern for possible errors? thanks so much 🙂
It’s on my list to do this afternoon. Just have some updates then that’s next on the list
Everything in the pattern looks correct. I’ll work up a video tutorial tomorrow. Should be able to get it done in a day since it’s a quick project. 🙂
Make that Wednesday, tomorrow is already a pretty busy day.
thanks Debi a video would be great!! 🙂 for us fairly new crocheters we may not know stuff you that more experienced crocheters know and may have forgotten how confusing it is when not told exactly what to do, like join at this stitch, etc. sometimes the simple things can turn into a molehill and frustrate us newbies. sometimes i can figure it out, do my own thing, and other times i just frog the project and walk away (did that the other day…made or attempted 9 different patterns from many different people and although the picture of what it was supposed to be was great-thus me wanting to make it!, couldnt figure out the pattern cause many instructions were missing that is desperately needed for newbies!
i do so much appreciate those of you that create patterns and share them with us mere mortals, lol :D!! so thanks Debi for all the hard work and beautiful creations and your how to videos for those of us that need them!
I got to film the headband today and as I was working on the pattern I noticed that Rnd 3 after drawing up AC2 there’s a missing ch2 that counts as the beg hdc of the pop st. I’ve edited the pattern, V1.2 is available for download.
