Star Burst Crochet Hood

October 7, 2014 By: DearestDebi10 Comments

Your favorite brands under one roof: Patons, Bernat, Caron, Lily Sugar‘n Cream, Phentex, and now Red Heart! New and innovative yarn is added all the time.

Star Burst Crochet Hood

I have this pattern for the star burst cowl, it’s not really a popular pattern, maybe it’s because of my awful pictures I had originally posted. It’s a great beginner pattern! I decided to try out the pattern with Loops & Threads Impeccable Yarn and worked up a Star Burst Crochet Hood in 3 sizes.

You can use Loops and Threads Impeccable yarn to work up the star burst cowl but you will need to use the beginning stitch counts of the adult sized hood.

Thanks for the reply the reason I am confused is row 9 days ch 1 and turn work so you are working from the end of row 8 which finishes in spd st. I assume you turn the work to start the opening for the face. Sorry again that I am not understanding it

I took a look at row’s 7 through 9. I think I found a small error in it. I believe this should correct it. Please let me know how it works out.

Row 7: hdc in 1st sc, *shell st in each ch1 sp, rep from * across, hdc in last sc. (22, 24, 26 shells)
Row 8: ch 1, turn work, sc in beg hdc, sk 1 hdc, *spd st in next hdc, sk 2 hdc, rep from * across, sc in last hdc. (22, 24, 26 spd sts)
Row 9: ch 1, turn work, hdc in sc, *shell st in each ch1 sp across, hdc in last sc. (22, 24, 26 shells)

I tried the pink download arrow. I put in my information but nothing happens. Is there another way to download the pattern?

If it’s not doing anything it’s probably because there’s a space at the beginning or end of the email field. All patterns are available for sale on Ravelry. http://www.ravelry.com/stores/debi-dearest-designs
