Lip Balm Crochet Cupcake

I recently worked up a Lip Balm Cactus and thought maybe I’d work up another cover but my croJo had gone out the window and I was out of ideas. I decided to ask on my Facebook fan page for some ideas and if anyone could give me an idea I could hook up I would offer them a free pattern from my ravelry shop.  Thank you to Lisa Fiorini Ahmad for her Lip Balm Crochet Cupcake suggestion, she won herself a free pattern. 

There were a lot of great suggestions and there’s even another one that I’d really like to give a try once I’m done posting this pattern. The person who suggested the idea will win a pattern too if I’m able to hook it up! Be on the look out for a new lip balm container cozy, these things are really fun to hook up!

This pattern will be a great opportunity to use up some of those scraps of yarn you have laying around, if you don’t have any Bernat Dippity Dots you could replace it with another worsted weight yarn.

Yarn: Not much yarn is needed, this is the perfect opportunity to use up some of those scraps.

• Bernat Dippity Dots Yarn (discontinued)
• Bernat Handicrafter Cotton

Hook: US G6/4.00mm

Gauge: 4 sc = 1 inch

Size: One size, fits EOS Container

Supplies: 2 elastics approximately 3/4 inch that will stretch to approximately 2 inches.

Special Stitches:

• FPDC – Front Post Double Crochet
• FLO/BLO – work in Front or Back Loops only

Notes:

• Use a stitch marker in the beg st of each rnd to keep your place/counts.
• Do not join rounds unless otherwise specified.
